Setting up the vertical sidefish menu

The Sidefish menu is a css-based, vertical, fly-out menu that can be up to five levels deep. This tutorial will show you how to setup your Sidefish (sidebar flyout) menu, with examples are of how your menu will look once it's setup.

Step 1

The first thing you need to do is add a module suffix of "sidefish" to your menu module, thus activating the all the necessary css and javascript.

Step 2

Once you have added the module suffix to your menu module, you will need to update you menu to have child menu items. This is done in the relevant menu via Joomla's Menu Manager. An example of a menu with child menu items can seen below:

The below examples are of how your menu will look once it's setup. Please note that the actual styling of these will vary from themelet to themelet.
