This tutorial will walk you through the steps needed to install the Morph Toolset.

Joomla needs to be installed before you get started

This tutorial assumes that you have Joomla 1.5.x installed and setup. If you have yet to install Joomla, please see our step-by-step guide below on how to install Joomla using our Quick Installer, before you continue with the setup steps in this article.

Download all the necessary files

Before you get started with the setup steps, you will need to download the following files, which will needed during the installation:

• Configurator component
• Morph template
• A themelet of your choice

Installing the Morph Toolset video

This screencast will run you through the steps for setting up Morph, Configurator and LeBlanc on a fresh install of Joomla. The LeBlanc themelet is merely used as an example, as you can use any of the themelets we currently have available.

Step by step instructions

Install the Configurator component

Now that you have all the necessary files and Joomla is setup, you can proceed to installing Configurator.

1. Log in to your Joomla! administration and navigate to the extensions installer (Extensions > Install/Uninstall)
2. In the Upload Package File box, click on the Browse button and select the component_configurator_vXX.zip file that you previously downloaded to your computer.
3. Click Upload File and Install, which will then install Configurator.

Once the component is successfully installed, you will be presented with our new installer, which is an easy 3 step process.

Step 1: Install the Morph template

Select the Morph template install file that you downloaded to your computer (template_morph_vXX.zip), then click on the "Upload & Continue" button to continue.

Step 2: Install your chosen themelet

Select the themelet install file that you downloaded to your computer (eg: themelet_vanilla_v1.02.zip), then click on the "Upload & Continue" button to continue.

Step 3: Review the installation steps

The last step of the installer presents you with a summary of what has been completed. Once you've had read through the summary, click on the "Launch Configurator" button to exit the installer and proceed to Configurator.

Start Morphing ;)

You will now be redirected to the management interface, which is used to control most aspects of the Morph framework.
