Can I use Morph on XAMPP or WAMP?

Yes, you should be able to run Morph on any of those test environments "in theory".

Typically the biggest issues are dealing with the PC itself, examples being some sort of Anti-virus causing issues, personal firewalls, etc. These are some things to look at if you have problems logging in.

It is important to mention that when you first install Morph, Configurator needs to call home and if you have a firewall installed, this can cause the installation to hang.

If you find that your installation is not moving on from the "loading" screen overlay, try temporarily disabling your firewall and try again.

Our friends over at Alledia wrote a really interesting post about this exact topic recently, titled "local installations are not worth the effort" - definitely worth a read.

Introduction to Morph's architecture

Morph's architecture is quite different from most traditional Joomla! templates, so it's important to you understand the role that each of the three key parts play, as it will help you grasp the other key concepts that Morph introduces.
